Frequently asked questions

Q. Do I need an account to use Billowe?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. You open the app and start invoicing. Your data lives on your iPhone rather than on a server, which is why there is nothing to create an account for.

Q. How do I send an invoice to a client?

Build the invoice, then export it. Billowe generates a PDF and opens the iOS share sheet, so you can send it through mail, messages, or any other app on your phone, or save it to Files. The PDF is a normal document that any client can open.

Q. Where is my data stored, and is it backed up?

Everything is stored locally on your device. That keeps your client details private, but it also means the app itself does not hold a copy for you. Keep iPhone backups turned on (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) so your invoice history is protected if you lose or replace the phone.

Q. What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. If you may need those invoices later, export the PDFs you want to keep first, and make sure you have a device backup.

Q. Can I keep track of what I am owed?

Yes. Each invoice carries a status, so you can see at a glance what is still outstanding versus what has been paid, rather than digging through a folder of PDFs.

Q. Do reminders work if I am offline?

Yes. Due-date reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device, so they do not depend on a connection or a server.

Q. I paid for an unlock but it is not showing, or I reinstalled the app.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so restoring brings back anything you have already bought at no extra charge.

Q. Is there a subscription?

No. Billowe is free to download, and anything paid is a one-time purchase through the App Store — no recurring billing to keep track of.

Q. Something looks wrong on a generated PDF.
