Frequently asked questions

Which certifications does the app cover?

Practice banks and timed mock exams for the API individual certifications: API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), and API 653 (Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector). Each is a separate module.

How do I unlock a module?

Each module is a one-time in-app purchase. Open a module and tap to purchase from the paywall. A free sample of each module is available before you buy so you can try it first.

I bought a module but it is locked, or I reinstalled the app.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so restoring brings back anything you have already bought at no additional charge.

I think a question or answer is wrong.

Tap the flag icon on any question (or the report option on the review screen). This opens a pre-filled email to us with the question reference so we can review it. You can also email support@simonbuilds.app directly.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. All studying works without a connection. The only time the app uses the network is to process or restore purchases.

How do I reset my progress?

In Settings you can Reset Study & Exams (clears progress and exam history but keeps your saved questions) or Reset Everything (clears all local data). Your purchases are never removed by a reset.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login or account. Your study data stays on your device.
